It’s been eight years since The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim was developed and released by Bethesda Softworks, and we haven’t had a single major game in The Elder Scrolls universe, except Online, which was released in 2014. Now Bethesda mainly promotes The Elder Scrolls: Blades, but what about the new number part? So, here’s a guide to The Elder Scrolls 6 – Date of release, location, place of action, races, plot and what’s new.

While the Fallout series is in a questionable position, in the face of Fallout 4 being located between the best franchise sales and ambiguous reviews and a very questionable existence in the form of Fallout 76, The Elder Scrolls is still on a good account, because the flexibility (in all senses) Skyrim encourages people to play it long after the release.

But at the same time, we learned almost nothing about The Elder Scrolls 6, although she received a teaser trailer at the Bethesda conference during E3 2018. However, this trailer, that shows the region of Tamriel, which is not yet announced, is all we have about the game at the moment.

Because of this, there are a lot of questions on the Internet, such as where we’re going this time, what the story will be and, most importantly, the actual release date of the game. Since we didn’t see The Elder Scrolls 6 at the Bethesda E3 2019 presentation, we still don’t know anything about the game.

Guide Overview The Elder Scrolls 6 – Release date, place of action, location, race, story and what’s new

Recently, the company has focused on a number of other games, such as science fiction RPG Starfield, along with Fallout and a number of other games that they have announced over the past few years.

Although most of the games are products of Bethesda studios such as Doom Eternal, Shinji’s upcoming Mikami Ghostwire, Commander Keen and others, we haven’t heard anything from Bethesda about the new details (especially after the studio seems to have focused even more on Fallout 76 than before).

We may have to wait for the next E3 for Bethesda to really give us more information about The Elder Scrolls 6. There is also the possibility that we will see the news from some other event, but again, we will have to wait anyway,

The Elder Scrolls 6 place of action

One of the distinctive features of any The Elder Scrolls game is that we are sent to a new region of Tamriel each time. While the original The Elder Scrolls: Arena game allowed us to travel around the world, later we visited more places in more detail, such as the Duggerwall Kingdom in High Rock, Morrow-Indus region, central Syrodylian region, and, more recently, Skyrim.

However, there are several different places in Tamriel that we have not yet found. These are the Summerset Islands (home of the Superior Elves and hopefully The Elder Scrolls 6), the Black Swamps, the Argonians, the Hammerfell, the Redguard House (which, while we were visiting The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard), which never appeared in the main game of Elder Scrolls, and the rest of High Rock outside of Daggerfall itself. Elsweyr and Valenwood, where the cajitas and forest elves live, respectively, also did not appear in the main parts.

The region we saw in the E3 2018 trailer was very similar to Hammerfell or High Rock because of the rocky and mountainous terrain. Although Hammerfell is a desert region, the northern part of the region, which is closer to High Rock, has desert mountains, so even without the sight of any sandy terrain it is likely to be Hammerfell.

However, the imperial province of High Rock is also filled with mountains and is also a peninsula, and since we see the ocean from the point where the teaser action takes place, there is an equally high probability that we will go there as well.

The Elder Scrolls 6 story

Since we’ve only had one mini trailer game so far, without a narrative or any summary, there’s actually nothing that could tell us about The Elder Scrolls 6. Unlike the Skyrim teaser, where the frame voice tells the story of the dragons, the civil war of Skyrim and the coming of the Dragonborn, we have no idea what the story of The Elder Scrolls 6 will be.

Given the state in which the Empire of Skyrim times is located, when the Alderman Dominion conquered three provinces (the islands of Summerset, Valenwood, and Elsweyr), Hammerfell, Black Swamps, and Morrowind broke away from the Empire, leaving it with Syrodyl, High Rock and Skyrim with the possibility of overthrow and murder of the Emperor. If during the Civil War quest chain players are on the side of the Burevestniks, the Empire can also lose Skyrim.

Between games, The Elder Scrolls often saw significant changes in power, especially between Oblivion and Skyrim, where the two games were separated by a period of 200 years, sufficient to destroy the Septimian Empire, and transformed to rule the Mead dynasty.

Exactly what the gap between Skyrim and the sixth part is unknown, and something in the universe is bound to happen between these games. There may be a new war between the Empire and the Dominion of Aldermen. The Empire may survive a rebirth and regain control of Tamriel, or it may be completely lost, leaving Tamriel scattered throughout the kingdom.

In addition, there will undoubtedly be a hero who will rise from the ground up to create greats all over the in-game world, where history will unfold. But whether it’s an evil wizard trying to gain absolute power, new rising dragons, or even more localized conspiracy threatening to plunge the entire region into chaos, it’s likely to take us on a grandiose journey, no matter what happens.

The Elder Scrolls 6 release date

We still have no idea when the game should come out. The trailer at E3 2018 didn’t give any hints, and all Bethesda said about it was that it should be released sometime after Starfield, their new sci-fi space game, which actually has no release date.

There is also a question of platforms. With the release of Xbox One Scarlett and Playstation 5, which is planned for 2020, it is likely that The Elder Scrolls 6 will not get any release on the current generation of consoles. This would mark a whole generation of consoles without the new game The Elder Scrolls. Recall that Skyrim was originally released on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, and only in 2016 – the current generation in the form of Special Edition.

Most likely, we will see the game after 2020, maybe even in 2021 or later. However, we’ll still get a lot of information in the future, because it’s a very important franchise for Bethesda, and it’s a pretty big plan, so if they want to avoid making mistakes in the past, they’re going to have to share the big news, and we’ll keep you posted.
