You dream of using paired weapons in Cyberpunk 2077, but you don’t know if there is such a possibility in the game. In this Cyberpunk 2077 guide, we’ll tell you everything you need to know about paired weapons.
Cyberpunk 2077 is the latest open-world game from CD Projekt Red, best known for its work on the The Witcher series. Unlike that franchise, however, it is a first-person sci-fi game in which players control Vee, a mercenary who is busy making casual earnings in Knight City and occasionally finds himself involved in corporate espionage. If you’re wondering if paired weapons are available in Cyberpunk 2077, here’s what we know about it.
Are there paired weapons available in Cyberpunk 2077? Answered by
To cut to the chase, no, there are no paired weapons in Cyberpunk 2077. You can carry up to three weapons at a time on the V, and you can press the triangle or Y button to switch between them, and even switch to your fists for melee attacks. However, if you were hoping that V would equip two weapons at the same time and use them simultaneously, you’re out of luck.
CD Projekt Red’s global community head Marcin Momot said on Twitter back in July that there would be no dual-weapon functionality in the game when he was asked this question. You can check out the embedded tweet below for yourself.
Since the game focuses on a lot of things, such as melee and ranged combat, crafting, hacking and stealth, there are many different items and equipment you can experiment with. Some are two-handed weapons, while others are one-handed only. The good news is that even with ranged weapons, you can still use basic melee attacks by hitting R3; you just won’t be able to block attacks as you normally would if you just used a melee weapon.
That’s all you need to know about whether there are paired weapons in Cyberpunk 2077.
