Now, long before the release of Diablo IV, it is safe to say that the RPG will be significantly different from the third part of the series. New information from the latest issue of EDGE magazine only confirms it – Allen Adam said that the developers will surprise the PvP-system.
But it’s too early to talk about any specifics.
We are thinking about PvP with the first Diablo. We are working on prototypes of several interesting approaches and are only going to approve them.
Another important aspect in the development process was loyalty to the franchise. Blizzard wants Diablo IV to be innovative and unique, but at the same time, it is in line with the released games. As an example, Adam mentioned the Druid class, which was taken in Diablo II, but reworked and presented as a character with wolves, capable of turning into a werewolf.
Diablo IV will be released on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The release date is unknown.
