When you get both of these items, climb the highest rock on your island and find a stream of water or a pond. Golden Trout can only be found in rocky rivers, so just set your character’s direction there and catch fish until you catch one.
It is also worth noting that this fish can only be found at certain times of year and certain hours for. Golden Trout can be caught in March, April, May, September, October and November from 16:00 to 9:00. This means that you will not be able to find it between 9:00 and 16:00. You can donate it to the museum when you finally catch it, or sell it to Timmy and Tommy for a very high price of 15,000 bells.
