Face painting in Animal Crossing
Face painting is a new form of customisation introduced in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, allowing you to wear any patterns you create for your face. These are the patterns that are usually used for your island flag, garments or for general decoration of the island. The item is divided into three sections: the upper half is on the forehead and the lower half is divided into both cheeks.
You can create your own templates using either Custom Design Pro editor on your 800 Nook Miles phone or by visiting Able Sisters after the store opens.
Setting up clothes in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Clothing in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is any item that your avatar can wear. It can be anything from an artificial beard to a kimono. Below you will find eight different categories of clothing that can be worn:
Face jewelry, including glasses
Hats, including wigs and other head jewelry, including flower crowns
Pants and skirts
You can wear up to nine different items of clothing and, to know exactly what your avatar is wearing, choose the blue shirt image from the inventory, which is next to the total number of bells. A mini-menu will then open to show you the items you are wearing and you can take them off.
How to change your outfit in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
From dresses to metal helmets, you will quickly put together a large collection of clothing in New Horizons that you will surely want to wear. You can store it in your inventory, but the easiest way to change your outfit is to use a wardrobe. To build a basic wardrobe, you’ll need both its DIY recipe and its recipe:
Then place the new wardrobe in your home or on an island somewhere, and then open it to change. It allows you to change any item of clothing. You can also change your outfit by visiting the Able Sisters and using their fitting room to actually try on the clothes that are currently being sold. This will allow you both to appreciate the new style and, if you decide to buy clothes, to wear them.
How to get clothes in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
There are many ways to get items of clothing in the new Animal Crossing. Able Sisters is, as always, the best place if you are in dire need of new outfits. It sells a variety of clothes and accessories for every day and also allows you to place your own individual designs on these items.
You can also exchange your Nook Miles at Nook Stop for a variety of Nook Inc. clothing. This includes accessories such as a bandana or eye patch.
Sometimes your island will also receive special visitors, and some of them will have special items of clothing for sale. Kicks the Skunk, for example, which will allow you to buy various bags, shoes and socks. Thanks to the Kraft system introduced at Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you can also create your own accessories such as flower crowns, which you can create by collecting flowers growing on the island.
