Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord has many policies. Our actions most often lead to war. But there are always lords who can betray their own kingdom. How do you lure them to your side?
You can tell a nobleman that his ruler is not worthy of his title. Notice who you are talking to – the household will send you to the head of their family. He will ask you a few questions with several answers. Each answer has a certain chance of success, it depends on your skills and other characteristics. For example, if you have good Charm and Mercy characteristics, some answers will be most beneficial.
If the conversation was successful, the exchange window will open. The Lord will agree to join your kingdom, in return he will require gold or other items.
If you have your own kingdom, the process of joining it is exactly the same. You can’t start ruling without vassals, you must hire them from other kingdoms.
If you have captured hostile lords in battle, they can only be executed. You can’t bend prisoners to your side.
In the early access stage, you can have buggies: the enemy lord’s troops continue to attack even if your lord has joined your kingdom.
