Developed by Koei Tecmo and released by Sony, Nioh 2 is a continuation of the critically acclaimed Japanese Souls-like Action game released back in 2017. And this guide is about how you can leave the mission and return to the world map in Nioh 2.
Quit the mission/quest and return to the world map in Nioh 2.
As in the first game, the structure of Nioh 2 is divided into different missions and locations that you can choose on the world map. Within the mission or location there are several relics with which you can interact to track your progress as you try to reach your goal. However, if you feel that the mission is too complicated for you now, you can always completely abandon it.
To do this, you must use an object called a fragment of a divine branch. This object is automatically given to you when you start the game. Using a Divine Branch Fragment will cause the loss of your entire Amrita, so keep that in mind before you complete the mission.
To use it, simply click on the touchpad to open a menu, select “Items”, and then click on the “Key Items” tab. From here, select a fragment of the Divine Branch and use it to exit the mission. You can also set it as a shortcut to the shortcut pane so you can quickly access it without having to go to the menu each time.
Recall this is how to exit the mission and return to the world map in Nioh 2:
Open the menu using the touchpad and select “Elements”.
Click on the Key Elements tab.
Select a fragment of the Divine Branch and use it to exit.
