Motion blur in Outriders won’t appeal to everyone, especially when people get dizzy. In this Outriders guide, you’ll learn how to turn off motion blur.
How to disable motion blur in Outriders
Since Outriders uses motion blur quite a bit, it’s understandable that some players will want to turn it off. Not only will it make enemies more visible, but it will also make those who are sick of motion sickness have more fun playing the game.
So how exactly does one turn off this setting? At the moment, there is no specific way to adjust the motion blur – probably because Outriders is still in the demo stage. Perhaps this feature will be added to the game’s settings for release.
Fortunately, PC players can at least solve this problem, although it will require a bit of manual input.
How to Disable Blur on PC
To disable blurring in the PC version of Outriders, you will have to edit the configuration file. To do this, you will need to perform the following steps:
Open C:\Users[your user name]\AppData\Local\Madness\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor on your PC
Open Engine.ini, and Gameusersettings.ini with a text editor.
At the bottom of each file, on separate lines, add what it says below:
If you want to make other changes to the settings, you can also add something to change the depth of field by setting r.DepthOfFieldQuality=0 at the bottom of each page.
Disabling blur on consoles
Since Outriders is still in its pre-release stage, there is no way to adjust motion blur on consoles yet. However, when the game does come out, it will probably be as easy as going into settings and turning it off with the click of a button.
