How to Unlock a Bow in Kena: Bridge of Spirits
If you’ve already read our guide on how long it takes to get through Kena: Bridge of Spirits, you know that the game is divided into about three “Acts”. The good news is that you’ll unlock the bow shortly after completing the first act. All you have to go through is the main storyline, in which the twins Saya and Beni lead you through the woods in search of their missing brother Taro.

At the very beginning of your search, the twins tell you to find someone named Rusu who lives on top of the cliffs. In this quest you will have to climb quite a bit, not to mention the monsters and the boss you will have to fight. If you get to this point, you can unlock the bow.

Once you defeat Kappa, take the elevator up from the cave and you will get to the top of the cliff. Follow Saya and Beni, and you’ll meet Rusu, who in a beautiful splash page teaches you how to use your powers to turn your spirit guide’s staff into a bow that can shoot energy arrows.

After the splash screen, you will immediately have the opportunity to test your newfound bow skills in a series of practice tests that Rusu has prepared for you. You only have a certain number of archery shots, but they recover fairly quickly both in and out of combat. And, as you realize, the longer you hold down the aim button, the more powerful and accurate the shot becomes.

Once you reach this point in the game, you also get access to a new set of bow-related abilities that you can spend karma on.
