Microsoft and Sony announced a quick release of Bedrock update for Minecraft on PS4. A significant event will take place tomorrow, December 10.

Bedrock is a unified version of the cubic sandbox that was released last summer on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android and Windows 10. It probably didn’t appear on the Sony console for so long because of the work in the Xbox Live ecosystem.

In addition to the full cross-platform, a major upgrade brought a new engine with many new features, as well as a special shop where you can buy worlds, skins, minigames and other sets – purchases are automatically transferred between all platforms.

Current Minecraft owners of PS4 will receive Bedrock for free. In addition, a new version of the project will appear in retail stores with an installed update.
