Although the new Star Wars adventure has been less hardcore than the Dark Souls series, it is still capable of challenging players, especially at the highest level of difficulty. In addition, there are unique mechanics in it, the mastery of which can take a long time with the beginners players.
For this reason, we decided to publish a detailed guide Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order with useful tips for beginners. Having studied it, you will be able to instantly get used to the game gameplay and avoid trivial mistakes at the beginning of the game.
Useful tips for beginners
Go to Dathomir as soon as possible.
Before you fly to the planet Zeffo, we suggest you visit Dathomir. The fact is that there you can fix your lightsaber, making it two-sided. However, let’s warn you right away that in this world you will face much stronger enemies than on the Rich, so explore it as carefully as possible.

We talked about where you can find the double sword upgrade in a separate guide. By the way, you can also find it on the Richard, but you will need the Strength Traction ability and BD-1 droid adapter technology.

You won’t be able to go to all the places right away
Pass a red-lit stone wall or find a bridge you can’t get to? You don’t have to worry about that, because there are a lot of places in the game that you can’t get to at the beginning of the game. To get into them you will need additional abilities, such as “Pulse Force” or “Push Force”.
Once you have the skills you need, the once locked objects will glow blue, signaling that you can now interact with them, thus opening up passages to new locations.
Listen to the advice of BD-1
You’ll be followed everywhere by a small and cute droid named BD-1. It is able to scan various objects, revealing their history and purpose. You will be able to see this information in a special database, which can be accessed via the main menu.

In addition, if there is an important object nearby, the droid will get off your shoulder and go in its direction. It will move away from it only after you have scanned the object or gone a long way from it.
Plan each step and take your time
This game doesn’t feel sorry for “Padawans” who are used to thoughtlessly pressing all the buttons or trying to spam enemies with one attack. These actions will only make you vulnerable to enemy strikes.

First practice using a lightsaber. Learn not only to use different attacks, but also to correctly block enemy strikes and time to parry them. Parrying not only makes your battles more spectacular but also gives you the ability to deal more damage to your opponents.
Don’t forget to meditate
Star War Jedi: Fallen Order does not have an automatic storage system. You will also not be able to create a save in any place you like – it can only be done in special control points (similar to the fires from Dark Souls).

Thus, if you see a similar point, you will definitely survive, otherwise, when the character’s death you can lose a significant part of the progress.
Talk to your team members
Be sure to talk to other crew members before you run out of a spaceship to explore a new planet. They will definitely give you a few tips or tell you interesting information that complements the LOR of the game.

In addition, this way you can get to know different characters, learn their biography and just make friends with them. All this works well for the atmosphere of the game.
Explore your surroundings carefully and get to a dead-end
If you’re stuck somewhere and can’t move forward, explore the world around you. The developers have done a lot of work to add a lot of sound and visual clues to the game. It’s about unusual white signs blowing in a certain direction the wind, flashing light and even animals running only in one direction.

So don’t forget to look around when exploring a new location – this will help you get lost and get to your destination faster.
Rest only if necessary
During the main plot, you will soon realize that you will have to return to the previous locations very often, and you will have to do it on your own because the game does not have the option of fast travel between regions.
That’s why we don’t advise you to rest often, because this feature not only restores all your styles and scale of life, but also revives all the enemies you’ve dealt with before.

As a result, if you rest frequently, you will have to deal with old enemies, which will significantly slow down your progress. This advice can go in the context of recommendations for frequent preservation – the main thing is to find a middle ground here.
Don’t forget to check the map to find hidden paths and secrets
You should be aware that location maps can change significantly during the course of world studies. When you enter a new area or room, you will probably notice several paths on the map, many of which lead to hiding places and secrets. If possible, try to explore all the existing paths to get along with useful things.
Objects are marked in different colors on the map. For example, the passageways that are currently blocked are in red because you do not have the skills to open them. Yellow indicates that you have not yet studied the object, and green indicates that it is ready to move or activate.

As you progress through the story and unlock new skills, you will notice that many objects on the map change their color from red to green. Be sure to return to the previous zones to open previously blocked passages.
Scan enemies to see their vulnerabilities
At a high level of difficulty, some opponents may seem almost invulnerable, so Respawn decided to help players a little, allowing them to scan their enemies after defeating them.

Scanning an opponent you’ve barely killed recently, you’ll know all their vulnerabilities and find out the most convenient tactics for fighting them. As a result, you will be able to better prepare for the next meeting with this opponent and defeat him much faster.
Always give priority to location research
This project is not a non-stop action with a lot of scripted scenes – it is rather a costly Metroid, which depends on the study of the game world.

For this reason, we do not advise you to try to run all the levels without distractions. On the contrary, after entering a new area, carefully study it to reveal various secrets. Plus, this approach to playing the game can help you prepare better for the upcoming fights.
Beware of enemies lurking around corners
If you see dark corners or sharp corners ahead, move as carefully as possible, as these places often hide enemies who can strike you unexpectedly.

Most of the time, such opponents meet on Kashiik and Zeffo. Although they are not able to seriously hurt you, they can still cause some difficulties if your hero has very few life points left.
Creatively approach the use of the Force
One of the best abilities in the game is “Push Force”. Try to improve it as quickly as possible to increase the effectiveness of this skill. This is a versatile skill that will help you in any fight.

However, we still recommend that you use it in a more creative way. For example, you can use it to push multiple enemies off the ledge, eliminating the need to kill them all alone.
