When will the VALORANT closed beta test begin?
The closed VALORANT beta will start on April 7th on PC at 15:00 MSK/05:00 PDT.
How do I get access?
If you are in one of the above regions, please follow these steps.
Register a Riot account.
Tie it to your Twitch (if you don’t have a Twitch account, start it by clicking the link).
When closed beta testing starts in your region (so far in Europe and North America), watch certain VALORANT closed beta broadcasts on Twitch.
We would like to emphasize that the number of players participating in the closed beta test will be limited by the bandwidth of the servers. We advise everyone to register and we will try to provide access to as large an audience as possible. As the servers are put into operation in the regions, the number of test participants will increase.
Will the progress and inventory earned during the beta be transferred to the full version of the game?
No. VALORANT may change significantly during testing, so it’s better for everyone to start from scratch after the game release.
How long will the closed beta test last?
We are still going to release the game in summer 2020 (we know the date is not very precise) and we would like to keep the closed beta as short as possible, but it is also important for us to ensure that as many countries as possible participate. If we get a lot of feedback during the testing period that doesn’t meet our expectations, then plans may change.
What happens to VALORANT Points purchased during a closed beta test?
After the game is released, you will receive all VALORANT Points (premium currency) you have purchased, as well as a 20% bonus to thank you for testing the cosmetics you are developing and the shop. For example, if you buy 10,000 VALORANT Points during a closed beta test, you will receive 12,000 VALORANT Points after the game launch (the bonus is also added to the set bonuses).
The store, its contents and prices are not yet final and are still under development, and many things can change.
Will it be possible to run VALORANT on my computer?
The VALORANT game is optimized to run on a wide variety of computer configurations, making it more accessible to audiences around the world.
The minimum requirement is 30 frames per second:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400
GPU: Intel HD 3000
Recommended requirements are 60 frames per second:
CPU: Intel i3-4150
GPU: Geforce GT 730
Maximum performance – 144+ frames per second:
CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 3.2 GHz
GPU: GTX 1050 Ti
It’s also necessary:
Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit versions)
4 GB RAM
1 GB of video memory
Can you guarantee ping less than 35 ms?
Unfortunately, not always. Although we are setting up data centers around the world to reduce latency, it is not possible to place them tightly enough in some areas, which may result in ping increasing. This may be due to the fact that there are not many players in your location or it is difficult to install a server in the region (due to security issues, political instability, etc.).
Can I play VALORANT for free?
Playing VALORANT is completely free, but you will also be able to buy in-game cosmetics.
